Shown above are the gravestones of Jacob Glessner Sr. and his wife Catherine Elizabeth located in the Old Reformed Church cemetery in Berlin, Pennsylvania.

Jacob was born on September 21, 1732 in Bavaria, Germany and died at the age of 61 in Berlin, Somerset County, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1794. His wife, Catherine Elizabeth Miller, was born on July 25, 1734 and she also died in Somerset County, Pennsylvania on September 23, 1807 at the age of 73.

During the Revolutionary War period, Jacob Glessner Sr. served 12 months (1777-1778) as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd Company, 1st Battalion under Capt. Henry Rhoads in the Bedford County Militia.
